Job Summary:
The IT Data Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive data management and analysis services to the leadership team and other organizational stakeholders.
This role focuses on identifying data collection points, developing efficient reporting systems, and creating centralized repositories for key organizational data. The IT Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data processes, ensure data accuracy, and deliver insights to support decision-making and compliance with external reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
* Data Systems and Analysis
o Design, implement, and manage data systems in collaboration with leadership and development teams.
o Program and streamline systems to support organizational reporting needs.
o Extract, analyze, and convert data into actionable insights and user-friendly reports or presentations.
* Reporting and Data Management
o Generate monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial, statistical, and performance reports.
o Develop and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
o Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, including Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payers.
* Collaboration and Communication
o Work closely with staff to understand data collection goals and ensure meaningful outputs.
o Act as a liaison between IT, finance, and other organizational teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
o Train and support end users in using data systems and tools effectively.
* Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
o Test and validate data systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and conformance to standards.
o Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes and recommend sustainable solutions.
o Assist in program corrections and ensure data quality for outcomes improvement.
* Project Management
o Assist in developing project specifications and ensure timely completion.
o Create and maintain workflow diagrams, user documentation, and compliance tools.
* Regulatory and Compliance Support
o Prepare technical reports for submission to regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
o Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
Experience Qualifications
* Associate's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (required).
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
* 4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or application support.
* 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
Technical Skills:
* Experience in using T-SQL and data visualization tools.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
* Ability to use data effectively for analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
Soft Skills:
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
