Position Title: Electrical/Biomedical Engineer Internship (CPT Position)

Our current project involves the design, development, and testing of a smart pharmacogenetic testing device to enable point-of-care precision medicine.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Electrical or Biomedical Engineering student to join our team as an unpaid CPT intern. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PCB design, integration, and assembly, as well as proficiency in Raspberry Pi, 3D design tools, and device development. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment while contributing to the development of a transformative healthcare product.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and assemble PCBs for a medical device prototype.
• Integrate hardware components with Raspberry Pi for seamless functionality.
• Utilize 3D design tools to develop prototypes and refine device components.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on device development and testing.
• Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Document work processes and provide technical reports.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with PCB design software (e.g., KiCad, Altium Designer, or Eagle).
• Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi hardware and software integration.
• Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of sensor integration and microcontroller programming.
• Familiarity with medical device development standards and protocols.
• Previous experience in prototype development and testing.
