Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety protocols, environmental compliance, and workplace hazard mitigation. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, providing safety training, conducting inspections, and helping to maintain a safe work environment for our employees. The project is in Morenci, AZ and MUST have a current MSHA 48.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with all MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate safety programs and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety training programs.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with safety audits and maintain accurate records of safety data.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • Provide support for emergency response plans and participate in drills.
  • Collaborate with site management to enforce safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • MSHA 48-hour certification (required).
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (required).
  • Proven experience in a safety role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and environmental laws.
  • Ability to assess hazards, perform risk assessments, and develop safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of personnel.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
