Job Description

A busy individual in Manhattan  (Upper East Side) is seeking an experienced and dedicated full-time housekeeper to join their household team. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized home for a principal and four children, who are in residence 50% of the time. The housekeeper will work closely with one other full-time housekeeper to ensure all household needs are met efficiently. This position offers the flexibility of being live-in or live-out, depending on the candidate’s preference.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning and deep housekeeping tasks to maintain a pristine home environment.
• Manage all household laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, and closet organization.
• Greet and oversee vendors, accept deliveries, and handle household errands.
• Stock household supplies and groceries, ensuring inventory is well-maintained.
• Prepare meals for the family during times they are all together.
• Assist the principal with various tasks and provide support to the children as needed.
• Utilize and manage household technology efficiently.
• Accommodate a flexible schedule, adjusting to the family's needs when children are in residence.
• Travel to the Hamptons during the summer, as required.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A friendly, flexible, and team-oriented approach is essential. The candidate should have:

• Experience working in a household with children.
• Comfort with cooking and meal preparation.
• Confidence in using household technology and managing tasks independently.
• A willingness to help out wherever needed to support the family and the household team.

Position Details:

• Location:Upper East Side – Manhattan, NY
• Schedule: 60 hours guaranteed weekly, although some weeks may be less. Wednesday through Sunday, 7AM start when kids are there, 9AM start when kids are not there until about 7PM. 
• Living Arrangements: Live-in or live-out, depending on candidate preference.
• Travel: Some summer travel to the Hamptons may be required.
• Duration: Indefinite
