Information Security Analyst

📍 Cambridge, MA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

💰 $105,000 – $145,000 DOE

🕒 Full Time | Permanent

We’re working with an established and innovative organisation operating in a highly regulated industry — think government, defence, or advanced R&D — to find a sharp and capable Information Security Analyst to join their growing security team.

If you’ve got a passion for protecting sensitive systems, a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, and the ability to work in a technically complex environment, this one’s for you.

🧠 What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitoring, detecting, and responding to security events and incidents
• Supporting audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities (e.g. NIST, DFARS, ISO 27001)
• Helping to implement and enforce security controls across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Working closely with engineering and IT teams to embed security into system design
• Participating in threat intelligence and vulnerability management activities
• Supporting security awareness and training initiatives

🛠 What You’ll Need:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (non-negotiable)
• CISM or CISSP certification is highly preferred (or actively working towards)
• Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, EDR platforms, and general threat landscape
• Comfortable working in a hybrid role within a high-stakes, regulated environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills — you’ll be a key part of cross-functional conversations

⭐ Bonus Points For:

• Previous experience in government, defence, aerospace, or R&D environments
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, DFARS, and DoD security requirements
• Exposure to cloud security in AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments
