As a Wax Specialist at European Wax Center in our busy Cranberry location, you’ll perform full-body waxing services. You will also educate guests on our exclusive product portfolio, designed to support your Guest’s pre and post-wax skin care needs. Every day, you will arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your first reservation in order to prepare the wax pot and review your book. Before the Guest arrives, you will utilize our amazing point of sale system to learn all about your guest’s previous visits and product history. Based on your findings, you will discuss the importance of a wax routine, or educate on products. When the service is complete, you will walk your Guest to the product wall and demo any products discussed in the suite. Finally, you will ensure a smooth hand-off to our Guest Service Associate by recommending to schedule your Guest back in 4-6 weeks! Didn’t do much waxing in beauty school but are interested in learning more? We got you! We provide an extensive 6 day in-house training that covers all the bases of EWC’s exclusive process. We will also give you all the resources you need to feel confident educating guests on our products. As a Wax Specialist, you can expect to earn $10/hr plus tips and a monthly commission. In the beginning of your career, you can expect to earn up to $6 more/hr as a Blue level Specialist. Over the course of the next 6-8 weeks post training, your objective will be to move to White level, where your skills become more proficient. At this Level, you can expect to earn up to $15 more/hr. Orange Level comes next (5 months in), where you are able to double book more services, followed by Red (1.5 years in), which is the most proficient level. As an Orange Level specialist, you can expect to make up to $17 more/hr. At Red Level, you can expect to earn up to $19 more/hr. As you can see, your earnings are in your control and willingness to continue to develop. Your Center Manager is your main source of support. They will meet with you on a regular basis to ensure you are set up for success and maximizing your earning potential. To thrive in this role, you must be a Licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist. We will teach you everything you need to know. But you must be outgoing and enjoy talking to people! You also must have flexible availability. Weekends are a prime time for seeing many Guests and we need to ensure we can accommodate them. Please bring any questions about employer benefits to our first phone/video screen.
