Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination, record patients' vital signs, document medical history and changes in medical condition for physicians' review during clinical exams

Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams

Prepare and administer medications under the direction of physician

Assist in routine specimen collection including fluid and tissue samples

Arrange laboratory and radiologic services for the practice and maintain records for each

Prepare and maintain equipment, instruments, supplies, and examination rooms while managing inventory

Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others in a courteous and friendly manner

Must be detail-oriented and highly organized

Knowledge of electronic health record

Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures

Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
