Registered Nurse – Pediatric Cardiothoracic Critical Care Nurse

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric cardiothoracic ICU.
• PALS and BLS certification required; CCRN-P preferred.
• Expertise in managing post-cardiac surgery patients, including those with congenital heart conditions.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiac monitoring, hemodynamics, and advanced life support.

Duties:

• Provide specialized care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac assist devices and mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists, surgeons, and anesthesiologists.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and anticoagulants.
• Educate parents and caregivers on post-surgical care and long-term heart health.
• Ensure compliance with pediatric cardiac ICU policies and safety regulations.
• Document patient progress and changes in condition accurately and thoroughly.
