Job Description

SUMMARY

Fortvita is seeking a highly motivated and skilled research associate to join the effort of developing novel therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. A successful candidate is expected to participate in establishment of a variety of immunological in vitro and ex vivo experiments in support of target validation and drug discovery programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As part of a multifunctional team, you will perform and analyze in vitro and ex vivo experiments to validate therapeutic targets and hypotheses.
  • Conduct experiments with immune cell culture and functional assays to support pipeline molecule screen.
  • Data analysis and lab note documentation.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with team members, cross-functional collaborators and CRO both on-site and externally.
  • Assist Lab head in presentation preparation, literature analysis, etc. Participate in routine lab and equipment maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • M.S. in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, or B.S. with >=2 years of related hands-on research experience (immunology preferred).
  • Experience with in-vitro cellular assays and technics such as human primary cell culture, immune cell assay s (e.g.: T and myeloid cell-based assays), reporter assays etc.
  • Experience using multi-color flow cytometry.
  • Experience using data analysis software such as FlowJo , GraphPad Prism , etc.

  • Agility. Can learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under tight timeline to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills, and be capable of multitasking.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Possible lifting up to 20 lbs., Potential standing for long periods.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Both Laboratory and office setting required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
