Safety Consultant

• Start ASAP
• 1 yr Contract with 2 openings
• Potential for extension or conversion
• Hybrid 3x/week
• 30% travel to different stores and distribution centers
• 10 different distribution centers

Job Summary:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends to take action.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Desired Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
• Experience with the Department of Transportation (preferred).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to develop training programs addressing current claim trends (25%).
• Analyze claim data and create programs to prevent future claims (10%).
• Ensure company-wide compliance with OSHA regulations (25%).
• Review and update training programs based on changes in OSHA regulations (10%).
• Work on new projects with the Safety Manager to address safety risks and develop training (10%).
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and resolve issues (10%).
• Assist with property loss control and fire protection programs (5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
