Job Description

Job Overview: The client is seeking an experienced refrigeration technician to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various refrigeration systems and coolers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-quality workmanship, a positive "get it done" attitude, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. This candidate should be committed to customer satisfaction, reliable, honest, and possess a strong work ethic.

Job Duties:

• Solder, braze, and use an acetylene torch.
• Replace expansion valves, cap tubes, compressors, evaporators, and other refrigeration system components.
• Test and identify systems for refrigeration leaks and perform repairs.
• Knowledge and EPA certification for a variety of refrigerants and refrigerant oils.
• Run wiring, make electrical connections, and perform light plumbing to connect new equipment installs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Commercial Refrigeration Trade school degree.
• 3-5 years of commercial refrigeration experience in installation and/or service.
• Prefer experience in bar/restaurant refrigeration.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including electricity aptitude.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to understand equipment through schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic processes.
• Experience with walk-in freezers/coolers, reach-ins, pantry units, ice machines, and beverage dispensing refrigeration systems.
• Must know how to operate and use common refrigerants such as 404A and R22. Knowledge of R290 is preferred.
• Self-motivated, reliable, professional, able to prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and management.
• Driver's License (Required).
